The NUP Party leader in Uganda Bobi Wine and Kizza Besigye have landed in Kenya to monitor the August 9th General election. Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine stated that he’s in Kenya together with Besigye to monitor the election as part of the Africa’s observation team.
It shall be recalled that both Bobi Wine and Kizza Besigye have contested for presidency in Uganda in the past. Taking to his social media pages on Sunday, Bobi Wine stated,
“As part of our mission to observe the #KenyaDecides2022 this Tuesday, I was glad 2 meet & interact w/ Presidential Candidate Rt. Hon. @RailaOdinga. Another part of our team met w/ Candidate @WilliamsRuto. Wishing the great people of Kenya a free, fair, credible and peaceful election.”
As the country proceeds to the Tuesday General election, a number of international officials have been deployed to different parts of the country to monitor the exercise. IGAD, Intergovernmental Authority and Development deployed a total of 24 observers across all counties to monitor the Tuesday election.

This process is in line with the organisation to promote free, fair and credible elections across the African continent. Kenyans have been urged to maintain peace when carrying out their constitutional voting right.
This comes after the campaigns ended on July 6th, with all presidential candidates waiting for the final polling date.
