Repent Or Expect The Worst Post-Election Violence – Prophet Owuor

by Jayden Musembi

Prophet Owuor has issued a warning to Kenyans of a possible post-election violence after the August General election. Adressing his followers, the prophet stated that he received a dream of people fighting and killing each other, and this is what will happen to the country of Kenya if the citizens fail to repent.

Kenyans have raised debate on the issue, with some arguing that he should preach peace as the country approaches the election. The prophet stated that the post-election violence will be the worst in Kenya’s history if the country fails to repent.

This comes just a few weeks to the election, with Kenyans being advised to preach peace so that the country cannot proceed to a similar situation that was witnessed in 2008. To what many may describe as controversy, the Prophet has maintained that Kenyans will receive serious consequences of their actions if they don’t kneel and pray.

He added that the war will start from a single community and later proceed to other communities in Kenya who’ll be seeking for revenge. However, politicians have been urged to maintain peace as they continue to sell their agendas to the people. This comes a day after another rift was witnessed in Kiambu Gubernatorial race after Moses Kuria and the UDA candidate Kimani Wamatangi disagreed in a rally. The two candidates who are in the Kenya Kwanza coalition seem not to be in the same line, after a series of wrangles was witnessed in previous campaign rallies.

This has raised alarm with many politicians across the county critiquing the duo for preaching politics of personal interests rather than urging for peaceful rallies. What are your thoughts on this story? Share your insights down below.
