Keroche heiress Anerlisa Muigai spoke of a moment she almost gave up on her business, adding that she had to choose between her personal life or business. The CEO of Nero limited stated that being on the spotlight made her reluctant, adding that she had to make a decision. However, she fired the employees and came up with a new team that helped her business thrive. Nero Limited was founded in 2013, a company she started after returning to Kenya from the United Kingdom.
She stated, “As I said the other day, it takes one day to wake up and decide what you want. Out of experience, there is a part in my life where I had to sacrifice giving up on my business because I had to choose between work and my personal life. To the public, I looked like I was on the move but deep down I had let go of my business. Today I am proud to say that last year, sometime in July, I made a decision to fully be in control of my business. I got a new team, a new office, and decided to be 100% present in my business.”
The renowned businesswoman advised business owners to stay focused and work towards making their businesses successful. According to Anerlisa, everyone has the capacity to be whoever they want to be.
