The Air Bed and Breakfast (Airbnb) a vacation and rental company has permanently banned parties at their location premises.

During a press release on the 28th of June 2020, the company took to its social media pages that following a temporary ban on all parties and events listing in August 2020, the temporary ban has now proved effective as of yesterday and the ban has been officially codified as the company’s policy.

_”At Airbnb, we believe the neighborhoods and communities in which we operate are as important as the Hosts and guests who use our service.”_

_”We know that the overwhelming majority of our Hosts share their homes responsibly, just as the overwhelming majority of guests are responsible and treat their listings and neighborhoods as if they were their own.”_

_”In turn, we focus on trying to deter the very rare cases of Hosts who do not operate responsibly, or guests who try to throw unauthorized parties. To that end, in August 2020 we announced a temporary ban on all parties and events in listings globally — which at the time was in effect “until further notice,”_  read the press release.

Airbnb further announced an occupancy capacity of 16 people for stays booked through the platform, this

was prompted primarily by COVID-19 concerns around large gatherings prior to the introduction of vaccines.

However, the company was lenient enough to let hosts that are capable of housing more than 16 individuals to do so.

Airbnb which was established back in 2007 believes that this newly enacted long-term policy will help encourage and support community safety.
