A man from Eldoret shocked court attendees after he openly admitted to have engaged in bhang abuse. The 47-year-old while adressing the court stated that his drive for bhang was fueled by his unending support for Prof. George Wajackoyah.
The suspect, Boniface Mutua told the court that he is used to abusing bhang as an energiser and also, to support the Roots Party presidential aspirant Prof. George Wajackoyah. He argued that weed gives him the energy and courage to champion his support for Wajackoyah.
While pleading guilty of the crime, Mutua stated that he would be the first grower of bhang if Wajackoyah took power. He also expressed support for Wajackoyah’s manifesto which is seeking to legalise bhang once they take power.
The court was informed that Boniface Mutua was arrested at Ainabkoi in Uasin Gishu after he was caught in possession of rolls of bhang amounting to Ksh90. The court took time to explain to Mutua that abuse of bhang was a serious crime in Kenya, and therefore, he was going to serve a sentence for the same.
