During the unveiling of digital services in the country, President Ruto made the announcement, stating, “We have approved that salaries of other civil servants can be adjusted – our teachers, policemen, the military, and government employees. We have agreed that considering our current situation, your salaries will be increased by 7% and 10% starting tomorrow.”

In response to President Ruto’s decision, Omondi shared the news on social media with an empowering caption: “Never be afraid to raise your voice.” It seems that his advocacy efforts had an impact on the presidential decision.

Earlier, the comedian had taken to his Instagram account, posting a video where he passionately urged the President to address the pleas of the men and women in uniform. Omondi, dressed in a blue uniform resembling that of the Kenya Police, conveyed a heartfelt message, stating, “The Kenya Police is not okay! They were promised a salary increment, but they are left with less than 15,000 shillings after taxes. Mr. President, the security of Kenyans is paramount. Police officers cannot speak for themselves, so they keep sending me to you. The police are not okay. The ground is not okay.”
