Renowned comedian Eric Omondi has recently taken center stage once again, this time not for his comedic antics but for his sincere apology to fellow Kenyan artists. Omondi, who has often been accused of using their names to clout chase, has expressed remorse for his actions and pledged to focus on nation-building through his unique brand of activism.
Addressing the nation via Plug tv Kenya with a newfound seriousness, Omondi shared his vision for a Kenya where clout and personal gains would no longer overshadow the lives of children and citizens. “We need to reach a point where we don’t use clout to manipulate the lives of our fellow Kenyans,” Omondi declared passionately. “This is a path we must take with utmost sincerity. I have personally sacrificed myself to ensure that the lives of Kenyans change. From now on, I no longer seek clout.”

Omondi went on to express his gratitude to all those who have supported his activism thus far, acknowledging the power of online comments, tangible contributions like diapers, and the invaluable encouragement and prayers he has received. However, he didn’t stop there. The comedian-turned-activist expressed his eagerness to collaborate with fellow artists, emphasizing the importance of working together to create a tangible impact on the ground.

“I appreciate every form of support, whether it’s through online comments or even if you want to send us diapers. Your encouragement and prayers mean a lot,” Omondi expressed his heartfelt appreciation.
In a genuine attempt to mend broken relationships, Omondi extended his apologies to the artists he had clashed with in the past. He made a point of mentioning Khaligraph Jones and Nadia Mukami, whom he had used as tools for clout in the past. However, when it came to singer Bien of the popular group Sauti Sol, Omondi hesitated. He believed that their differences were more personal in nature, suggesting that it was Bien who should be seeking forgiveness instead.
“It’s unreasonable to fight with artists and expect their support. Therefore, I humbly ask for forgiveness from all the artists I have fought against. I assure you that my intentions were never malicious; I was merely trying to stand up for you,” Omondi humbly pleaded.
