Renowned Kenyan music producer and singer Magix Enga finally breaks the silence with an interview after almost a 9 month hiatus.
In an interview with Plug TV, Magix Enga attributed his music production downfall to a viral interview he did back in January 2022. In the January interview with famous YouTuber Presenter Ali, Magix had purpoted that he had joined the Illuminati cult.
He stated that the video made him lose credibility in his field of expertise and severed his reputation. This led to him losing lots of gigs as a music producer and his potential clients avoided collaborating with him.
“The video has damaged my reputation such that I can’t release a song,” Enga said.
The Music producer was quick to point fingers at negative influence from close friends and also use of drugs which he claims corrupted his thoughts and choice of words.
“I did most of the interviews when I was not sober….The interviewer found me when I was drunk. There is nothing like Illuminati…..It was peer pressure with a lot of influence.” He said.
Magix Enga also called out Kenyan artists Otile Brown and Arrow Boy for failing to recognise his efforts in most of their successful music projects.
Enga declares that he has changed for the better and will put more of an emphasis on developing as an artist. He recently released a Kikuyu love song titled “Ta Wee.”
