Argentina Face Mexico In A Clash Of The Titans

The 2022 Fifa World Cup is still going on in Qatar with the host nation already exiting the competition at an early stage. Qatar was beaten 3-1 by the African champions Senegal days after losing 2-0 to Ecuador.

Saudi Arabia shocked many after overcoming Argentina by two goals to one. Lionel Messi scored the opening goal via a penalty kick after a foul in the box. Today’s major game pits two giants from South America Argentina and Mexico.

Their vendetta began long ago with Argentina having a mountain to climb after sitting last in their group. Argentina will be looking for a much-needed victory against a resilient Mexico.

The latter faced Poland drawing  0-0 which sees Saudi Arabia topping their group. Other group results witnessed Brazil overcome Serbia with former Everton striker Richarlson stealing the show.

PSG’s striker Neymar would later get off injured.  England and Spain are the only teams that have scored more than four goals in the competition.  Spain destroyed Costa Rica with youngsters shining.  Pedri and Gavi were among the players to watch.

It will be interesting to see how Germany play as they face Spain after falling to Win against South Korea.
