Renowned comedian-turned-activist Eric Omondi has unleashed a verbal assault on his fellow comedian Butita, following Butita’s recent visit to State House amid swirling rumors of an impending 15% tax bill targeting content creators nationwide.

“Butita ni judas wa butere, si kuna Yesu wa Tongaren, Butita ni judas wa butere,” exclaimed Omondi passionately, highlighting his disappointment in Butita’s actions. “Ametusaliti, lazima tushikane na tuwe na sauti moja kama content creators. Nataka kuambia Butita aende apaze sauti na apinge 15% tax bill,” he firmly stated.
Emphasizing the need for unity and solidarity among content creators, Omondi stressed the importance of raising a collective voice against the proposed tax bill, urging Butita to join the cause. His words were filled with a sense of urgency, as he called upon Butita to utilize his influence and oppose the bill.

Expanding on his sentiments, Eric Omondi went on to express his belief that Deputy President William Ruto’s decision-making process was being swayed by advisors who were not adequately representing the true concerns of the Kenyan people.
“Ambieni rais ukweli, wale vijana wako na rais,” Omondi urged, urging Ruto’s youthful advisors to speak the truth to the President. “Kama wewe ni kijana na uko below 40, tell the President the truth. Be truthful to the President of the Republic of Kenya. Tell him what is happening on the ground. Ruto sio mbaya, ni wale watu wamemzunguka,” he added with conviction.
