Famous Tanzanian female bongo star Zuchu is in the limelight after being accused of allegedly sampling a gospel song and using it in her latest song dubbed Kwikwi. Enock Jonas who is the owner of the song has accused the Wasafi Signee of sampling his song without his consent and has demanded a whooping TZ sh 500 million equivalent to 25.9 million Uganda Shillings.
Recently many Wasafi Artistes have been having issues with their music some leaving the record label WCB. In an interview with a Tanzanian media House WCB manager Babu Tale stated that the matter will end legally in court and that the ‘Zunguka’ word is well known.
Zuchu has been in the limelight with claims of dating her manager Diamond Platnumz. The Sukari hit maker has released several hit songs with the latest Kwi Kwi Dance garnering over 5 million views on YouTube. Diamond and Zuchu have gifted each other many gifts including sneakers costing more than 1.4 million, vacations, vehicles as well as jewellery.
According to Jonas his fans have crushed his music discs with claims that he has allowed his Gospel Song be used for another secular song thus Jonas claiming this has jeopardised his career.
