Tanzanian singer Diamond Platinumz has gifted himself a chopper a few days after pulling an electrifying performance in Nairobi. Taking to his Instagram stories, Diamond Platinumz confirmed to his fans that he was a happy owner of a chopper. He stated, “God is good. I bought myself a chopper today.”
On August 6, the singer was in Kenya, where he performed at the last Azimio rally prior to the August 9th General election. After performing in Kenya on Sartuday, the singer flew to South Africa where he reunited with Zari Hassan to celebrate their daughter’s birthday.
Sources state that Diamond Platinumz was paid an amount totalling to Ksh11.5million Kenyan shillings to perform at the rally. The issue of Diamond Platinumz performing at the rally has since raised mixed reactions from Kenyan artists, who claimed that local artists should have been given an opportunity.
Juliani, one of the artists led the argument, arguing that Diamond’s performance at Kasarani was distasteful. He stated that any other Kenyan artist would have pulled a better performance.
To what seemed to provoke a section of Kenyans, fans bashed him and brought up the singer’s personal life to the occasion. They argued that in some way, Juliani chose to settle with someone’s wife amidst a list of many single women.
