Authorities in Loitoktok has confirmed that three Tanzanians were killed in an accident. Two boda boda riders died on the spot, while one victim who was riding a pillion died while receiving treatment. The other pillion rider has since been admitted and is receiving treatment after sustaining serious injuries.
The Loitoktok police commander confirmed the incident on Friday evening, where he advised road users to be catious to avoid similar events in the future. It is alleged that the riders were overspeeding.
The police commander argued that the individuals were likely be Tanzanians as the motorcycles bore the country’s number plates. He went ahead and called out road users, where he told them go remain vigilant to avoid accidents. The individuals’ bodies have been taken to Loitoktok mortuary.
