With now four days to go to the August elections presidential hopefuls have been intesified their campaigns in a bid to woo Kenyans to vote for them. Azimio La Umoja One Coalition have written to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission ( IEBC) concerning credentials to login to the Application Programming Interface as they want to presidential candidates monitor the elections streaming in.
The results will be transmitted to The National Tally Center at the Bomas Of Kenya. Director of ICT at IEBC Mr Michael Ouma had earlier in June stated that this move would help raise the confidence levels of Kenyans with IEBC.
,’Because of the mistrust we experienced in the last general elections, we have put in place a situation where all political parties will have accounts logged into the system.We will give access to the API to the presidential candidates so that they can be able to access these results and they can tabulate their own from our portal,’ stated Mr Ouma.

With IEBC maintaining the use of an electronic voter register and further urging Kenyans to be calm claiming they are all set for the polls, all eyes will turn to the voters come August 9th.
