Museveni’s son Gen Muhoozi asks Ruto to rename westlands in honor of uganda

by Chief Okuzo

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni’s son General Muhoozi has emerged again with his controversial tweets aimed at Kenya.
In his recent tweet, the Ugandan army commander showed his interest in Westlands in Nairobi, Kenya, claiming that the Ugandans previously owned the region under the name Kololo before being changed to Westlands.

He added that Kenya currently depends on Uganda and would want the region (Westlands) named in honor of the Ugandans who dwelt there.

I feel sorry for my beloved 3rd Country, Kenya. Kenya cannot survive without us, Ugandans. Therefore, I forgive them all. Rename Westlands, where we lived, ‘Kololo.’ In honor of Uganda!, Muhoozi said.

Reacting to his tweet was a section of Kenyans who urged the military commander to avoid sowing seeds of hatred between Kenyans and Ugandans through his controversial tweets.

“Stop this false propaganda since his dad is the father of the region who seeks 4 the EAC federation!” one Twitter user blasted Muhoozi.
Just ignore this comparison nonsense maybe they are not sober  – we need each other; ug is landlocked, so we need KE, but tweeting senselessly is a disease for some Ug (unfortunately, most don’t like reading, unlike KE, so please forgive my people or ignore these tweets), another Twitter user said.

His controversial tweet comes moments after he complicated former president Uhuru’s DRC role after making fresh demands that hinted at his support for the M23 Rebels being tackled by the KDF deployed in the region weeks ago by President William Ruto.

Muhoozi warned Uhuru and other east African negotiators that their peacekeeping mission in DRC may fail if they failed to recognize the M23 rebels adding that the EAC leadership should accept the M23 Rebels had grown to military maturity.

“If I were still Commander of Land Forces (CLF), I would immediately meet General Makenga (of M23). Muhoozi said.

Muhoozi also added that the Rebel’s leader Makenga is a great fighter and that the east African peacekeeping leaders should pay attention to his achievements as a rebel leader.

He is a great fighter, and I am sure we would understand each other. We were ready to talk to Joseph Kony and Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), so why not M23?” Muhoozi wondered; he added.

Kenya’s president William Ruto recently deployed the Kenya defense forces to the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to assist in bringing peace To the region following continuous attacks by the M23 rebels who have been taking control of various regions, especially in the mineral-rich North Kivu province.
