Former Nairobi Diaries cast Member Mishi Dora disclosed that her kids were taken to an orphanage when she was jailed a few months ago. Her disclosure comes a few months following her 38-days detention. She argued that when she was released from jail, she also found out that she had been evicted from her residence.
She stated, “I’m not okay because I got out like right now and I don’t have my kids coz my kids were taken to the orphanage. Not living with your kids and you’re in prison, they’re taken to the orphanage, when you default rent payment my residence, they evict you. I’m not even in my house.”
Mishi stated that she hasn’t managed to clear the arrears, arguing that she decided to get her kids first. However, Dora added that she didn’t care what people said, arguing that she’s not that person who gives up easily. It shall be recalled that in June, Mishi Dora was arrested for potentially failing to pay an alcohol bill of 152k in a local grill. The incident happened on May 26 this year.
She also stated that there was an after-party that happened to celebrate a Nigerian film which she starred. Dora claimed that she was with her producer among other members. She claimed that the club had promised to offer them free drinks, a situation that changed later, since she didn’t follow up on whether they were supposed to pay for the second round of drinks.
“I’m just trying to bounce back coz I know myself, I’m not a woman that gives up easily, so it doesn’t matter what people say I know what I’m going through. But what I know is that I’m gonna bounce back and I will be okay. The bill has not been paid but my first priority right now is getting my kids back and my house back.”
