The Azimio camp has reacted to Kenya Kwanza’s manifesto claiming it is filled with empty promises. Makao Mutual , Raila Odinga’s spokesperson , has claimed that the promises made my Kenya Kwanza are empty slogans.
Mutua continued to add that corruption is a menace that had been facing the country yet the issue has not been mentioned even once in The manifesto .
,”The only word to describe what the whole nation saw and heard — is underwhelming.
The evening was punctuated by empty promises, slogans, and headshakes. The most important issue facing this nation was conspicuously missing from the UDA manifesto. The word corruption was not mentioned and did not cross Mr. Ruto’s lips even once.” Mutua stated.
Mutua further claimed that Kenya Kwanza has questionable politicians that this country has ever faced. He continued to explain that it is in the tent of Kenya Kwanza that suspects of economic crime and corruption reside.
Campaigning for Azimio, Makau stated that under Azimio’s stewardship , corruption will be unheard of
,”There will be zero tolerance for corruption under Azimio and those culpable will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law without any exceptions. There will be no room at all for any corrupt individual in the Azimio government”
William Ruto’s Manifesto dubbed ‘the Plan’ is a replica of his bottom up model. According to Ruto there is a need to focus on the economic sector as many among the youth are unemployed. Kenya Kwanza’s manifesto is set to focus on. He further added that during this post covid era , the country has faced tough economic times and thus a need to immediately take action.
Wiper party leader also poked holes into Kenya Kwanza’s manifesto stating
,”This people from UDA even for one second didn’t touch on corruption. This is the issue that has destroyed our economy. “
The race to state house is tight with August polls fast approaching with opinion polls showing that Kenya Kwanza and Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition are the two most favorites political camps to win the election.
