Radio Host Jalang’o in Trouble as Dr. Ouma Oluga Express Interest in the Lang’ata Seat

by Chief Okuzo

Dr Ouma Oluga, the contentious former KMPDU Secretary General, has shown interest in the Lang’ata parliamentary seat only months before the August 9 elections.

The professional medical practitioner made headlines in 2017 after organizing a 100 days statewide strike in dissent of the government’s inability to honor the 2013 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which included a 300 percent compensation increase for doctors and improved working conditions.

Dr. Oluga will now compete with Radio Presenter Jalango and incumbent Nixon Korir, who is seeking to maintain his seat.

The outspoken doctor, who served as president of the global alliance of medical professionals for two years, is expected to transfer his expertise to aiding the people of Lang’ata.
