On Wednesday, February 9, Ruto announced that Namwamba will assume the position of Head of Foreign Relations and manage the UDA Party campaign to defeat Mr. Raila Odinga in the August 9 election.

“We’ve worked frequently with Ababu over the last decade on a range of initiatives, and I’ve learned to admire his leadership, expertise, attention to detail, and sensitivity. This is why I am thrilled to have him on our campaign team.” Ruto Stated.
Ruto praised Ababu as a gifted public servant who excels in international talks and is an outspoken champion for human rights and trade policy.
He will work alongside Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok, who was recently named Chair of the DP’s campaign Secretariat, and Hussein Mohamed, the unit’s communications director.
