Citizen TV’s Senior News Anchor and Business Editor, Yvonne Okwara, has been elected as the new Chair of Enactus Kenya Business Advisory Council. Enactus Kenya, a non-governmental organization (NGO) that focuses on molding youth into entrepreneurial leaders, is excited to welcome Okwara into its constellation of change-makers. She will hold this role for four years.
Enactus Kenya praised their latest acquisition, expressing their delight and saying, “Welcome Yvonne Okwara to the Enactus, we all win team!” Okwara also shared her excitement, acknowledging the impact Enactus has on the youth’s raw energy, talent, and ambitions. She looks forward to working with the organization’s faculty members and students to create innovative, high-impact sustainable social enterprises that will make a significant difference.
Prominent figures, including veteran journalist John Allan Namu and former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioner Roselyn Akombe, sent their congratulations to Okwara. Akombe applauded Okwara’s achievement, stating, “Investing in our young women and men is where we can make a difference. Proud of you as always!”

She began as a content producer at NTV in 2008, later becoming a Senior News Anchor and Head of News Strategy at KTN News. In 2018, she joined Citizen TV, where she continues to shine.
