One day after releasing her public statement concerning defamatory remarks from an upcoming ‘content creator’ masquerading as a GSU officer, Eve Mungai made up her mind to settle the matter in court. This comes after indepth consultation with her legal team as her reputation was on the line.

In a video posted on her Instagram handle, Eve Mungai was accompanied by her lawyer to Kileleshwa police station to record a statement on the allegations made to her by one CP Karao.

“We have reported at the Kileleshwa Police Station and we have come with my client to report an issue whereby we have had certain video circulating for the past three days concerning my client and this video has serious untruth and extreme defamatory attributes,” the lawyer said.

Eve Mungai then went ahead and spoke with the media in the company of her lawyer thanking her legal team for acting swiftly to nip the matter in the bud to maintain her hard earned reputation.

“Thank you to my legal team for acting very fast, The fake GSU is under custody as we wait to proceed in court, hoping justice will prevail,” Eve said.

The man has been identified as Muendo Mailu, and according to Eve’s lawyer, he will be prosecuted with impersonating a police officer and threatening Eve when he is brought in court, among other counts.

“The accused, Muendo Mailu is facing charges of impersonating a police officer, threatening my client, and also the publication of unprintable words together with the publication of a video that he claims that he had a relationship with my client of which my client has never met him, claims that he has given my client money of which there are no records to that,” the lawyer said.

The suspect is set to take plea next week in court.
