The most coveted trophy in the football world will be fought for again this year. The UEFA Champions League sees great football clubs in the continent participate in a bid to win the silverware as well as earn money that can be used by the teams in their football seasons.
Last year Real Madrid won the trophy defeating Liverpool on the final day. Karim Benzema proved pivotal in ensuring Madrid won the trophy last year after a brilliant performance in the qualifiers. Among teams that have had success in the previous years are Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Chelsea.
Tonight different groups will face off against each other. Group G sees Dinamo Zagreb welcome Chelsea as Salzburg welcome Milan at the Red Bull Arena. Chelsea boosted their battalion with the latest signings like Armando Broja and Raheem Sterling already showing what they can offer in their new team.
In Group H it will be a classic between French Champions, Paris Saint Germain (PSG), and the old lady, Juventus. Angel Di Maria left PSG to join Juventus. Paul Pogba left Manchester United and also joined Juventus. It will be a good game to watch more as lionell Messi, kylian Mbappe and Neymar will lead the PSG attack.
Last year’s champions Real Madrid will be away at Celtic FC. With Casemiro leaving the midfield it will be the latest summer signee Aurélien Tchouameni who will be tasked in ensuring the squad remains solid. The young lad has already proven he is the player to watch with brilliant performances against Real Betis and Espanyol.
Tomorrow, Napoli entertain Liverpool, ajax play host to Rangers, Atletico Madrid play Porto, Barcelona host Victoria Plzen and Bayern face inter Milan. Group C will be a good one to keep an eye on with Bayern, Barcelona, and Inter Milan all playing.
