Match Day six saw the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool draw as Bournemouth, Tottenham, Chelsea, and Wolves claimed victory. Erling Haaland was on the score sheet again after he netted Man city’s goal, Astonvilla would then equalize later on in the match denying the title contenders a deserved win. Pep Guardiola’s team appeared comfortable in the match with 13 shots but only four were on target also boasting possession of 73 percent against Villa’s 27%.
Manchester City was held back after Leon Bailey netted Aston Villa’s equalizer in the 74th minute helping the home team to earn a point at home and eliciting the fans. Having played six games City stand second in the league table behind arsenal who will play Manchester united later in the day.
Elsewhere, Chelsea returned to its winning ways after edging out Westham with a 2-1 win. Westham got the first goal as Michael Antonio scored the opener at the 62nd minute after a barren draw during the first half. Chelsea’s left back Ben chillwell would then assist and score helping the blues win in a tightly contested match.
Tottenham Hotspur under the stewardship of Antonio Conte also overcame Fulham winning 2-1. In form Alexander Mitrovic pulled a goal back for Fulham but it wasn’t enough to ensure the visitors gained a point away. Harry Kane netted after Hojberg put spurs infront in the first half. Richarlson thought he had put the final nail on coffin of Westham only for him to be yellow-carded during the dying seconds of the game.
Manchester United will be playing Arsenal in a match anticipated by many. A win for arsenal will see them lead the premier league standings and have an edge against Manchester city after they were held by Gerards’s men. United have signed Casemiro from Real Madrid and Anthony from Ajax, the latter igniting his relationship with Eric Ten Haag.
