Renowned Kenyan singer Akothee has revealed why she didn’t marry a Kenyan man. While confirming that she will be getting married soon, Akothee gave reasons why she chose a ‘Mzungu’ over a Kenyan man.
Taking to her Instagram page, the mother of 5 stated that Dr. Ofweneke told her to pay ksh.1.4m for him to MC in her traditional and white wedding ceremonies.
She stated, “Wee I thought we were friends @drofweneke is charging me 1.4 m to be the official Mc on my wedding day both white and traditional, ati kwa sababu ni Mzungu. But why ? His answers: Kwani Kenya Hakuna wanaume? Ni madharau Gani hii unatuonyesha, wewe lipa 1.4 ksh ama ulete MC Mzungu basi. Someone tell @drofweneke haki sio kwa ubaya, sikuona yeyote anayenifaa poleni basi.”

Akothee is expected to marry her new lover soon. A few days ago, the businesswoman hinted on getting married. She took to her Instagram stories, where she advised wedding planners to share their details through an email. Following her breakup with Nelly Oaks, Akothee discussed her journey to depression until she met her current bae.
She has since disclosed that she has never felt happier in the past 40 years. The mother of 5 has since been sharing moments of her quality time with her new lover. Over the weekend, Akothee threw jabs at women who don’t post their lovers.
According to the businesswoman, such women are dating several men, hence the reason why they find it so hard to post them. Fans have since congratulated the singer as she plans to get married in due course. Earlier this year, Akothee discussed her breakup with her manager Nelly Oaks.
She stated that at some point in 2021, she had resolved to separate with him. However, she didn’t give details of what led to the breakup. The outspoken singer has been travelling to various parts of the world with her man.
