Eli Khumundu, jalango’s former employee has opened up on how his life has taken a different turn months after taking off with his boss’s money.
In a recent interview, Eli admitted that it was true he had stolen Jalango’s money and that he cannot explain what really took over him, he however blames the Devil for causing him to steal the money from his boss. Eli also revealed that the idea of the money heist was firstly conceived by his coworker Litiema who had encountered the money in jalango’s car.
It is true, the devil took control of us for a moment and we wronged our boss, we had entered work and as we washed our boss’ cars my younger brother (Litiema) came across Sh1 million which he told me about but I told him to keep off. Litiema sped off leaving me forcing me to also leave, he said.
Ever since the money heist, Eli says that his life has been miserable, since nobody wants to employ him following the public announcement made by his Former boss jalango. He also added that his wife has been disappointed by his thirst for quick cash saying that his act has already put his marriage in jeopardy.
Since we left Nairobi, my children have not even gone to school, my wife is also extremely disappointed with me and my marriage is at risk of breaking as we speak,” he stated
Eli also disclosed that after stealing the money, he was forced to return part of it to his Former boss and since that day, he has been asking for forgiveness from his boss but his his efforts have bore no fruits.

On the other hand jalango had revealed that he was willing to forgive them and employ them back if they promised to change their ways.
As for Litiema, he has been missing in action for months on his social media pages after the money heist.
