A Prison Cleaner has shocked many after revelations of how much money he is worth were made. The cleaner is estimated to be worth 257 million which is quite questionable since his salary is just 20k.
Which such a salary one will need to perform a miracle go amass such wealth.
The high court made a ruling to freeze all his assets and demanded he surrenders some of his property as they were fraudulently acquired whilst pending investigations on the matter.
“ That an order of prohibition be and is hereby issued prohibiting the Respondents jointly and severally, by themselves, their agents, servants or any other persons from transferring, disposing of, or in any other way dealing with the properties listed below pending conclusion of investigations by the Commission”
The cleaner in question owns 3 houses with an estimated worth of 57 million and 7 cars worth 32 million that he was ordered to surrender.
It was also established that the cleaner, Eric Kipkurui, is an owner of seven businesses through which he acquired 257 million fraudulently.
“The seven enterprises were the conduits for embezzlement/fraudulent acquisition of Ksh257 million from the State Department. The properties so purchased constitute proceeds of corrupt conduct or corruption, which EACC is mandated to seek recovery of.”
The case is scheduled for hearing on the 25th of October 2022 .
