Kenya’s elections are finally over and the independent Boundaries Electoral Commission(IEBC) has announced Kenya Kwanza’s presidential flag bearer William Ruto as the President with his counterpart Gachagua.
Vying for the first time, William Ruto currently the ‘fifth ‘ who emanates from Sugoi has won the elections as announced by IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati amidst rigging claims. Four commissioners allied to the IEBC however stated that the elections were rigged and unfair.
This was declared openly by IEBC’s vice chairperson.
,’ We cannot take ownership of the result that is going to be announced because of the opaque nature of this last phase of the general election,’ started Julian Chiara the vice chair person.
Whether Azimio La Umoja One coalition will move to court remains a test of time.
Addressing the press and members of the public, William Ruto called Wafula Chebukati a hero after being announced the president-elect.
,’ We have walked the journey of ensuring that, Kenyans get a free, fair,r, and credible election. It has not been an easy journey – right now two of my commissioners and the CEO are injured,’ Chebukati stated.
Opinion polls were different with Azimio La Umoja One Coalition and the Kenya Kwanza Coalition leading the race to the state house. The presidential election attracted four candidates including the Roots party Under George Wajackoyah and David Mwaure of the Agano La Umoja.
Celebrations have begun in different more so strong holds of the strongholds allied.
