Netflix Hopes To Stanch it’s Subscribers Losses by offering a cheaper ad tier:

Movie streaming giant Netflix has been used by many for quite a long time. Kenyans particularly talk of Netflix and chill thus attributing the chill to Netflix. Well it would be good news to Netflix Subscribers as according to ‘ The Information ‘ advertisers are thirsty for more ways to reach people.

Boasting over 200 million deep base subscribers Netflix would earn a lot of revenue from the adverts. Netizens have reacted differently to the information.

Some claiming being forced to watch an Advert is wrong but if The streaming platform is loosing revenue then they should find a way to ensure the revenue is earned.
Netflix has been there producing great films over time and even featuring great actors.

Attracting audience in the pop culture has been difficult in as much as they are in Netflix. Netizens claim that adding ads will ruin the watching experience in as much as it would add revenue to the streaming platform.

Going back to the past, Netflix was invented as a video rental store with the idea of renting movies through streaming instead of DVD’s or the Blu Ray. Platforms like YouTube have adverts that annoy people waiting to fast forward to the main content.

Netflix gives it’s subscribers the opportunity to choose from a variety of movies and that’s why people pay a fee to watch the Netflix shows. Others argue that introducing the ads will be a wrong move and that it would see the streaming giant loose many customers as they can get those movies for free else where.
