Shocking Twist in Eric Maigo Murder Suspect Claims Self-Defense against rape

In a startling development surrounding the murder of Eric Maigo, the Acting Finance Director at Nairobi Hospital, new details have come to light. Ann Adhiambo, the primary suspect in the case, has now come forward with a claim of self-defense as her motive for the fatal stabbing. According to insider reports, Adhiambo alleges that Maigo attempted to engage in non-consensual activities with her, prompting her to take drastic measures to protect herself. She asserts that Maigo had offered her refuge on the night of September 14th, following a disagreement with her guardian that left her homeless.

Ann Adhiambo, believed to be a 16-year-old minor, was apprehended on September 26th in the Olympic area of Kibera, thanks to a vigilant Kenyan citizen who reported her location via the DCI’s Fichua Line. She appeared before Magistrate Zainab Abdul at Milimani Law Courts on September 27th, where the magistrate granted the investigating officers a 21-day detention period to gather sufficient evidence. The investigating officers have cited the need for both a mental assessment and age assessment for Adhiambo, as per legal requirements preceding murder charges.

Eric Maigo’s lifeless body was discovered on September 15th, bearing a shocking 25 stab wounds, lying in a pool of blood in his own bedroom. Two kitchen knives found at the scene have been preserved as crucial pieces of evidence. The police have indicated that they require additional time to compile the case file for submission to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution, who will provide further guidance on the matter. The next hearing for the case has been scheduled for October 18th.
