Ann Adhiambo, the primary suspect in the case, has now come forward with a claim of self-defense as her motive for the fatal stabbing. According to insider reports, Adhiambo alleges that Maigo attempted to engage in non-consensual activities with her, prompting her to take drastic measures to protect herself. She asserts that Maigo had offered her refuge on the night of September 14th, following a disagreement with her guardian that left her homeless.

Ann Adhiambo, believed to be a 16-year-old minor, was apprehended on September 26th in the Olympic area of Kibera, thanks to a vigilant Kenyan citizen who reported her location via the DCI’s Fichua Line. She appeared before Magistrate Zainab Abdul at Milimani Law Courts on September 27th, where the magistrate granted the investigating officers a 21-day detention period to gather sufficient evidence.
