No justice for my son:Jeff Mwathi Mother Doubts Investigation into Son’s Death Will Yield Justice

The grieving mother of Jeff Mwathi, whose life ended in a tragic fall from the 12th floor of an apartment, has spoken out about her despair over the elusive justice in her son’s case. Ann Mwathi, also known as Wacuka, poured out her heart in a poignant interview with Nairobi News, recounting her five-hour encounter with detectives probing the mysterious circumstances surrounding her son’s death.

But despite their lengthy discussion, Wacuka was left feeling bereft of hope, unsure if justice will ever be served. “I do not agree with the findings of the inquest into the death of Jeff Mwathi. I believe that justice must prevail and all parties involved must be held accountable for their actions,” she told the reporter, her voice trembling with emotion.

Wacuka expressed her puzzlement at the detectives’ explanation that Jeff, who was reportedly intoxicated, managed to scale 12 stories of the apartment building before plunging to his death. She also disputed the official version of events, which suggested that Jeff took his last breath mid-air before the fatal impact.

As the investigation continues, the police have obtained an autopsy report from the government pathologist and chemist following a re-investigation ordered by the DCI director. The dossier is now in the hands of the Director of Public Prosecutions, who will review and provide guidance.

Meanwhile, DJ Fatxo, a key suspect in the case, has emerged from the shadows to mark his 27th birthday. In a digital missive, Fatxo vowed to soon unveil his version of the tragic saga that has gripped the Kenyan nation.
