Kenyan social media influencer Johnny has found himself embroiled in a controversy after claiming to be romantically involved with Kiss FM radio host, Oga Obinna. This statement sent shockwaves through the digital sphere and sparked a heated debate among netizens.
Oga Obinna, who has previously stated that he is heterosexual, was at the center of rumors about his potential ties to the LGBTQ community. Fuel was added to the fire by his playful exchanges with Kelvin Kinuthia, another individual with uncertain links to the community.

In response to Johnny’s allegations, Oga Obinna’s legal team moved quickly and issued a stern notice to Johnny. The letter demanded that Johnny withdraw his allegations, apologize publicly, and take responsibility for the damages incurred by their client. They stated that the claims made by Johnny had inflicted unimaginable harm upon their client, his family, and his loved ones.
Johnny complied with the legal notice and issued a public retraction and apology on his Instagram account. In his statement, Johnny clarified that the video was merely playful banter and not intended to cause harm. He also expressed his respect for Oga Obinna and how he handled the situation.

“Let me set the record straight: I am not dating Oga Obinna. The video was merely playful banter and not intended to cause harm. I have immense respect for Oga and how he’s managed this situation. Though we’ve never met or interacted, I believe it’s only fair to clear his name. Perhaps one day we’ll meet, and Oga Obinna, you’re welcome to bring your loved one for a complimentary hair and makeup session from me,” Johnny wrote.
