finally Bahati announces the end of his long beef with Willy Paul

by Chief Okuzo

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived – the Bahati versus Willy Paul beef has officially been squashed! The long-standing rivalry between these two Kenyan music sensations has been brewing for years, with fans taking sides and taking to social media to air their opinions. However, the most recent clash, which took place in 2021, was a real humdinger. Willy Paul, in a fit of anger, dissed Bahati and his wife, Diana Marua, sparking a social media frenzy.

But now, in a recent press conference, Bahati has finally set the record straight – there is no longer any bad blood between the two. “Who said I haven’t forgiven him? I never said I was angry with him anywhere,” Bahati clarified to our intrepid reporters. In fact, the former Mathare parliamentary seat aspirant went on to reveal that not only does he meet with Willy Paul, but the two have also been in constant communication for months.

The rivalry between Bahati and Willy Paul goes way back to their gospel music days. When they both got nominated for awards in the same categories, fans started taking sides, with some claiming that Willy Paul was more talented than Bahati. Fast forward to today, and the two have left gospel music behind and ventured into the secular scene. But even then, the rivalry persisted.

The drama between the two reached its peak in 2021 when Willy Paul took to social media to throw shade at Bahati and his wife. The situation escalated when Willy Paul dropped a diss track, claiming that he had an affair with Diana Marua before she met Bahati. Diana, in turn, accused Willy Paul of sexually assaulting her, causing the crooner to hit back with a video of his own, emotionally explaining his side of the story.

The saga finally came to an end when Willy Paul took legal action against Diana Marua, and the court ordered her to remove the video and cease talking about Willy Paul in the future. And now, with Bahati’s recent statement, it seems that the two have finally put their differences behind them. Who knows? Maybe we’ll even see a Bahati-Willy Paul collab in the future – stranger things have happened!
