The main suspect behind the murder of Edwin Chiloba, Jackton Odhiambo has admitted to murdering the LGBTQ advocate over cheating allegations.
According to a report by Citizen Tv, Jackton and Chiloba lived together as husband and wife for over a year.
Jackton also confessed to the authorities that he had murdered Chiloba as revenge after he had cheated on him.
Jackton also added that he committed the murder with the assistance of two accomplices. Langas OCPD John Odhiambo said that they have launched a manhunt for the two accomplices who assisted Jackton to carry out the brutal murder.
Chiloba’s last moments were captured in a video while in the company of Jackton at a club.
The two had visited the club to join other clubbers as they waited to usher in the new year.
According to reports, Jackton and Chiloba later went to their apartment in chebisas area in Chepkoilel where it is said that Jackton brutally murdered Chiloba after a short disagreement.
Edwin’s neighbors confirmed that the two had a quarrel that same night that resulted in a physical fight.
Chiloba is said to have been overpowered by his partner Jackton Odhiambo who took away his life during the scuffle.
Jackton would later take chiloba’s body and stuff it into a metallic box and dump it 20 Kilometers away from their apartment.
After Jackton’s arrest, he confessed to having killed Chiloba after he had found that the fashion icon had another partner.
According to Langas OCPD John Odhiambo, the detectives have launched an investigation to find the vehicle that ferried chiloba’s body from his apartment to where he was found dumped.
