The US government is offering a $10 million (ksh1. 2 billion) reward to anyone with the right information about the whereabouts of three Terror suspected affiliated with the Somali terror group Alshabaab.

The US government also stated that they are willing to offer an additional Ksh 1.2 billion to anyone who can disrupt the militia group’s financial networks.

The total reward value would be ksh3. 6 billion for the three Alshabaab leaders.

The three Alshabaab leaders are suspected to have organized numerous terror attacks that have caused multiple deaths in Somalia, Kenya, and neighboring countries.

Former Alshabaab Leader Appointed As New Religion Minister

The Somalian administration has appointed the former spokesperson of the Alshabaab Islamic group as the religion minister. The announcement was made by the current Prime Minister, Hamza Abdi Barre, who explained the terms of how the appointment was met.

His appointment comes as a relief to Muktar Robow, who spent four years under house arrest following his fallout with the former president, Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed alias Farmajo. It shall be recalled that Mr. Robow defected his membership from the group in 2017.
