A few days ago, Twitter users noticed that Amber head’s Twitter account had vanished mysteriously days after her ex-boyfriend Elon Musk bought the platform.
Doing a search of her name the only info that Twitter provided was “this account doesn’t exist”. However, her Instagram account is still active, where her most recent post was on June 1st shortly after the verdict of her Virginia defamation trial with ex-husband Johnny Depp.
Elon Musk and Amber Heard dated previously after she broke up with Johnny Depp. The Tesla boss recently bought the platform and immediately issued a public letter informing advertisers that the platform will not become a free-for-all hellscape, where anything can be said with no consequences.
Elon and Amber ignited dating rumors a while back before calling it quit in August 2017, however, the two had an on-and-off relationship before breaking up for good in 2018.
Before hooking up with the Tesla boss, Amber heard dated Johnny Depp after they met in 2012 and later the two got married in 2015. Amber filed for divorce two years later after alleging that Johnny Depp had been physically and verbally abusive during their relationship.
That was just the beginning of what would become a years-long legal saga where in 2020 Johnny Depp sued Amber over defamatory remarks she made after writing an op-ed in The Washington Post about leaving an abusive relationship.
After moving to court in 2020, Johnny Depp once again sued Amber for $50 million(Ksh6 billion) for defamation, saying her defamatory remarks had damaged his reputation and cost him movie Deals. later the jury found Amber guilty of defamation.
She was ordered to pay him over $10 million (Kes1. 2 billion) in damages. However, after the trial, Amber took to her social media pages and said that she was “heartbroken” over the verdict, and she revealed that she plans to appeal.
