There are a number of well-known players that will be absent from this year’s world cup with only three days remaining. As they await the start of the competition, all the teams have arrived in Qatar. While trying to escape the champions curse that has seen past teams that have won the event lose horribly, tournament champions France will be without the services of their talented midfielder Paul Pogba.

32 teams from across the globe will compete for the most coveted prize in international football as the 22nd FIFA World Cup gets underway in Qatar. On November 20, 2022, the World Cup’s first game will be played between Qatar, the host nation, and Ecuador. The game had originally been planned for November 21, but it was postponed because the host nation is now starting the World Cup.

Champions France, England, Germany, Brazil, Belgium, and the Netherlands are among the teams to keep an eye on. The three lions may brag about having young stars who are performing well for their current teams. Marcus Rashford and Bukayo Saka are two of the players that will direct England’s offense.

The pacy forwards Kyllian Mbappe and Kingsley Coman will give France great hope. In a match of wits that will put several footballers against one another, Belgium’s main playmaker Kevin De’ Bryune will be essential in their midfield.

At 9:30 p.m., host nation Qatar and Ecuador square off in the opening FIFA World Cup game in Qatar at the Al Bayt Stadium. It would be intriguing to observe how far the host can advance in its first World Cup participation since no host nation has ever been eliminated in the group stage, with the exception of South Africa in 2010.
