Unrest in The DCI amidst Claims of Missing Indians crucial to Kenya Kwanza’s electoral Campaign

The Directorate Of Criminal Investigations(DCI) has witnessed a lot of issues in the recent past after two Indians associated with Kenya Kwanza election campaigns disappeared mysteriously in the company with their Kenyan driver . Further CCTV footages reveal that the abducted victims were driven along Thika Road and upper hill before being taken to abedare forests where their deaths is believed to have occurred.

The three Mr Zulfiqar Khan, Mr Mohamed Zaid and Mr Nicodemus Mwania are believed to have been abducted along Mombasa road. Kenya Kwanza allied led by Dennis Itumbi stated that the two Indians were his friends and when they could not be reached, Itumbi believed it was a case of a normal phone theft but tried to reach them at their favorite entertainment zones.

Four Special Service Unit officers slept in police custody after current president William Ruto announced that the SSU officers unit should be disbanded being accused of a series of extra judicial killings.

Reports reveal that a vehicle from the DCI could also have been used in the abduction. With the suspects remaining in police custody and the Indian Embassy applying Pressure on the Kenyan government, many await to see how the case will turn out.

The constitution clarifies on the roles of police officers stating that
,’“A police officer shall obey and execute lawful orders in respect of the execution of the duties of the office which he may from time to time receive from his superiors.

“A police officer who fails to comply with an unlawful order shall not be subjected to disciplinary proceedings. A police officer who abuses any powers commits an offence and is liable to disciplinary or criminal action.”

The four officers who are currently in police custody will help in investigations.
