Muhoozi apologises to Ruto over tweets

Uganda’s general and the son of the current president of Uganda, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has finally sent his public apology to the president of Kenya William Ruto over tweets he made a few weeks ago about invading the Country’s capital city Nairobi that kicked off a massive diplomatic storm.
Through his verified Twitter account, the controversial Army commander said that he has never had any ill intentions with the current president of Kenya adding that he would love Ruto to forgive him in case he has ever rubbed shoulders with him the wrong way.
“I have never had any problem with Afande Ruto. If I made a mistake anywhere, I ask him to forgive me as his young brother. Godbless East Africa!,” he wrote.
His apology comes days after his father Museveni, apologized to Kenyans over tweets made by the General, Museveni
through his verified Twitter account stated that it was not correct for public officers to interfere in the internal affairs of brother countries.
“I ask our Kenyan brothers and sisters to forgive us for tweets sent by General Muhoozi, former commander of land forces here, regarding the election matters in the Great country, ” the man with the hat stated.
His son Muhoozi Kainerugaba had threatened to invade Kenya with his military and take control of the county’s capital within two weeks, through his Twitter account Muhoozi said:” It Wouldn’t take us, my army and me 2 weeks to capture Nairobi. ”
The tweet stirred up a debate between the two Nations as the Ministry of foreign affairs in Uganda responded swiftly by signing off the statement by the General stating that such crucial matters are never communicated via social media but through official means.
