Renowned Kenyan journalist and musician Willis Raburu has narrated the circumstances that forced him to divorce his wife Marya Prude. The Citizen TV presenter argued that his marriage was never the same after he lost his daughter in 2019.
The singer revealed how hard it got for him because he had to experience grief alone. He argued that only a few people were by his side when he was going through the most.
According to the 10/10 show host, only a few people allowed him to grief with them, but others wouldn’t allow him to grief his child. The presenter stated that losing his baby affected him in a way that he is yet go recover.
About his marriage with Marya Prude, Willis was forced to initiate the breakup when he noticed that things weren’t working at all. He argued that nobody wants to get into a marriage and then walk out. He argued that he was happy that they separated, and that he was able to move on.
The presenter stated that the process of divorce was so painful and that he would never wish anyone to go through what he went through. The presenter stated that he is still in therapy since it wasn’t easy to get over it.
Willis Raburu stated that he understood what Marya went through in the past, and that he was fully aware of the triggers that would re-exist in their marriage. He argued that at some point, he didn’t act appropriately in his role as a husband.
