Wambugu Ngunjiri criticizes Ruto’s clergymen

by Chief Okuzo

Former Nyeri town Mp Ngunjiri Wambugu is calling out clergymen Affiliated with William Ruto’s administration over derogatory remarks uttered by the unnamed clergymen.
Through his Facebook page, Wambugu decried how a Bishop labeled Ruto’s competitors and his supporters ‘dirt’ and also called the leaders of the Azimio Coalition snakes and its offspring respectively.

A Bishop recently said ‘wheelbarrow iliosha uchafu wote’. Another was ‘grateful’ that people voted against ‘nyoka na mayai yake’. All said to full congregations. If anyone else had said this we would call it ‘hate speech. Wrong is wrong. Wambugu decried.

In another post, Wambugu silenced those who criticized Ruto for holding prayers at the statehouse adding that Ruto had discovered that his strength can only be derived from prayers.

I cannot fault Ruto for holding a prayer service at State House; especially since I used to have a monthly Worship Service @ Nyeri House. When you are a leader you can’t be fought when you draw your strength from where you believe it is. Ngunjiri added.

In a recent post, the former Nyeri town Mp also bashed UDA supporters for alleging that the former president Uhuru Kenyatta left a collapsed economy by allegedly leaving Kes 93 million in the treasury.
Ngunjiri urged Ruto and his supporters to stop blaming the former administration and to focus on building the nation where Uhuru Kenyatta left.

UDA now needs to move on-Uhuru left. The habit of blaming Uhuru now needs to stop. Uhuru finished his term. He left. He handed over office to William Ruto,” he said on Thursday.
Ngunjiri Wambugu lost the Nyeri township Mp seat to his competitor Duncan Maina who polled 41,007 votes via the united democratic alliance party while he (Ngunjiri) got 11,808 votes via the Jubilee party in the just concluded general elections.
