Days after Wafula Chebukati announced William Ruto as the President-elect, Azimio La umoja moved to court in a bid to challenge the results at a time when four commissioners disputed the results led by Ms Cherera, IEBC’s vice chair person. Different lawyers have represented the two parties including Kenya Kwanza under the stewardship of William Ruto and Azimio La Umoja One Coalition under Raila Odinga.
Martha Karua has stated that they will accept the decision once made by the highest court of the Land, the Supreme Court. Under the leadership of Martha Koome who is the Current Chief Justice, the other judges also raised questions to both parties.
Azimio allied lawyers were quick to point out that Venezuelans were used to rig the election. Joel Gustavo Rodríguez García, Camargo Castellanos Jose Gregorio, Salvador Javier Suarez are the Venezuelans who were arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport with election materials before Kenyans took to the polls.
Advocates allied to Raila Odinga have revealed shocking details that One Jose Camargo decided the elections and not Kenyans who took to the ballot as they claim the IEBC systems were tampered with. The two advocates ; Julie Soweto and Paul Mwangi have claimed that One Form 34 A had been messed with.
Paul Mwangi explained showing the court one form 34A that is bearing jose Camargo’s name. Advocate Soweto seconded Paul Mwangi demonstrated that indeed there was some staging of the elections that were released by Mr Wafula Chebukati.
,’ At the top left-hand corner is the name of one of Venezuelans Jose Camargo, this is the person who decided the president-elect of this country.”
She would then question how the KIEMs kit from Mt Elgon and Kirinyaga bore the same serial number whereas every KIEMS kit had its unique address. She continued to explain that from the Form 34A she downloaded shows numbers that were changed.
Lawyer willis Otieno compared the state of the Venezuleans to a plumber who fixes your bathroom yet remains there thus stating it is a criminal offence. He stated and we quote
,’The role of the plumber is to repair water systems in your house then they leave. Any plumber who makes a repair in your bathroom and is still present in your bathroom while you are bathing is no longer a plumber but a sexual offender.’
Raila Odinga has summoned his legal team celebrating what prevails as a secret to the public.
