President William Ruto Convenes a Meeting Ahead Of Cabinet Naming

Kenya’s president and commander in chief , Dr William Ruto will convene a meeting today as he plans to name his members of the cabinet. Ruto, who during his inauguration stated that his government will do away with subsidies in the fuel industry faces an uphill task as the country is also facing debts that have accumulated from the past regimes.

Fuel prices rose previously with super petrol retailing at ksh 179.30 per litre, Diesel going at ksh 165.00 while Kerosene is selling at ksh 147.94 per litre in the capital Nairobi. Addressing the nation members allied to Kenya Kwanza stated the retreat will help them plan the best way forward for the nation.

In their manifesto Kenya Kwanza alliance under its housing plan stated that New 250,000 affordable houses every year through public-private partnership Grow the number of mortgages to one million and also launch a Settlement Fund to acquire land and resettle up to one million landless families.

Addressing the issue of the ICT , Ruto and Gachagua promised to Construct 100,000 kilometre fiber optic connectivity network as well as Roll out fibre to counties, villages, schools, over 24,000 businesses and homes, and to finally Establish Africa Regional Hub and promote the development of Software for export.
