The first lady mama Rachel Ruto has urged Kenyans to get used with regular Prayers at the statehouse.While speaking during a church service held at the same venue, Rachel Ruto said that she will be holding prayers months after months at the statehouse I have been order to thank God for giving them victory.
Mrs Ruto quoted the scriptures as inspiration for her move to hold prayers at the statehouse saying ;
I want to remind the church that this is not the Last service we will be having at this venue (statehouse), we will be coming here months after months to celebrate God’s faithfulness just as the Bible says that people went to Jerusalem years after years just to celebrate the feast of the tabernacles and I believe this is a place we will come months after months for Thanksgiving, Mrs Ruto said.
She also thanked her husband the president William Ruto for extensively welcoming the church into statehouse as she assured the church of her support.
In attendance of the service were different clergymen; pastor pius muiru, bishop Jb Masinde, Mark kariuki among others.The Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and his wife pastor Dorcas rigathi also attended the service.
The thanksgiving service was held by the president and his administration in order to thank God for his goodness and giving them victory after the general elections.
