Garissa township Mp, Aden Duale has reacted to President Uhuru’s remarks that he uttered while Speaking at Maasai Lodge during a meeting with Azimio parliamentary group leaders. According to the former leader of the majority, he claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta is going through power withdrawal symptoms and this is after his preferred presidential candidate Raila Odinga failed to secure the presidential seat in the just concluded general elections.
In a series of tweets via his Twitter account, Duale claimed that Uhuru is still living in denial following Ruto’s win in the general elections and that his remarks of claiming that he does not recognize Ruto as the president-elect was just a way of trying to nurse his political wounds.
The outgoing President is reeling from devastating defeat and living in denial. By asserting that Tinga is his leader, he has refused to move on and is looking at the future with a rearview mirror,” Duale said.
He also added that Uhuru had lied to the Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga that he would help him get the presidential seat by all means including using the deep states, he labeled Uhuru Kenyatta as a political cone after failing to adhere to his own words.
“It’s baffling that Uhuru conned Raila that he will deliver Mt. Kenya votes and would deploy the deep state to overturn the will of the people. It’s perplexing that he now refers to the 5th time loser as his leader to soothe his ego and perpetuate
hopeless optimism.”
Duale also claimed that Raila’s mock swearing that took place in 2018, was facilitated by Uhuru’s regime in a bid to invite Raila Odinga into his government, where he eventually elbowed out his own deputy President immediately after Raila’s arrival into the government.
“In 2018, he paid Tinga who committed a treasonous act of swearing himself into joining his government and elbowed out
a constitutionally elected Deputy President. In 2022, he consorted and went to bed with the opposition leader and resoundingly rejected by Kenyans into opposition.” Duale stated.
Aden concluded by assuring the Kenya Kwanza’s supporters that there will be no mock swearing in Ruto’s administration adding that Ruto’s win has put an end to political deceit that was heavily funded by Uhuru Kenyatta.
“For once Kenya has uprooted and obliterated the politics of deceit. The outgoing president who is the face of the facade that Azimio is trying to give vain hope to the vanquished opposition boss a semblance of leadership akin to
people’s President.” he added.
On 7th September 2022, Uhuru Kenyatta said that he was willing to hand over power to Ruto since it’s a constitutional requirement, he, however, noted that he rather recognize Raila Odinga as his leader than recognize the incoming president William Ruto as his leader.
“I will hand over power smiling because it’s my Constitutional duty to do so, but my leader is Baba Raila Odinga,” Uhuru said
