self-proclaimed Chairman of the Kenyan gospel industry, Ringtone Alex Apoko has revealed that his friend Bahati has been contemplating suicide for weeks after he failed to clinch into power through the Mathare parliamentary seat.
While speaking to Mungai eve, the Pamela hitmaker says that Bahati has been battling depression since he lost the Mathare parliamentary seat to incumbent Wakili Anthony Tom Oluoch,
Bahati amekuwa depressed sana, bado hajaamini alipoteza kiti ya Mathare, Ringtone Apoko stated.
Ringtone also added that the mtoto wa mama has since been contemplating suicide and a while back his wife Diana Marua called him for assistance when Bahati had planned to consume a dangerous poison to end it all.
Diana alinipigia simu akanambia niongee na bahati anataka kukunywa sumu. Ringtone Apoko added.
He concluded by urging Bahati to let go of politics and come back to the music industry since that’s where he grounded his name.
Ringtone’s allegations come days after Bahati deleted all posts on his verified Instagram, a move that threw his fans at large in limbo. On the other hand, Bahati’s wife has also been missing in action for weeks via her social media pages.
In her last post, the self-proclaimed rap queen left a cryptic message that indicated all was not well in her life.
Only in the Darkness can you see the stars, she wrote.
In a recent interview, her husband Bahati had revealed that Diana was not doing well, he however did not divulge what might be the cause of the troubles in her life. He stated that if the need be to reveal the details into the public, they will do so at the right time.
