- Dr. Evans Kidero was captured roasting the Citizen TV reporter in a video that has since gone viral
- The former Nairobi Governor has argued that he will challenge Gladys Wanga’s win in court
- Gladys Wanga was declared the winner by the Homa Bay returning officer
Former Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans Kidero was with no room for niceties, and this was revealed with how he spoke to a certain Citizen TV reporter on Friday. The former Nairobi boss stated, “You know you’re interviewing us like your heart is not here. Why are you doing it in the first place?”
Kidero went ahead and expressed his anger and displeasure with the reporter. He stated, “I don’t like your attitude. I don’t want you to interview me.”
Kidero’s attitude might have been resulted after losing the Homa Bay Gubernatorial race to Gladys Wanga. It shall be recalled that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission declared ODM’s Gladys Wanga as the Governor-elect in Homa Bay.
Kidero argued that he wasn’t satisfied with Wanga’s win, arguing that he was going to challenge her win in court. The IEBC returning officer in Homa Bay Fredrick Apopa stated that Gladys garnered a total of 244,559 votes. Kidero came second with a total of 154,184 votes.
The returning officer Mr Apopa stated that IEBC followed all protocols and procedures, arguing that the final tally was a reflection of the Homa Bay people’s will. He stated, “We verified and tallied the results as brought by returning officers from the constituencies and satisfied that they were accurate.” What are your thoughts on this story?
