This comes barely a day after Bahati alleged that there was a plot to rig the election, adding that 21 ballot boxes in some polling stations had been tampered with. Full of frustration, the singer argued that he had won the election, and that he couldn’t understand why there was too much delay at ST. Teresa tallying Centre. Prior to breaking his silence, the singer’s close friends led by DK Kwenye Beat had congratulated him on their respective social media channels.

“3 days since voting happened. 21 ballot boxes tampered with. I have been waiting to be declared the winner and to be handed over the official certificate as the Mathare MP elect. Dear IEBC, we need answers. Everything is at stand still at St. Teresa tallying Centre and we can sense rigging plans. Tell us what is happening.”

Before the elections were held, Bahati had been advised to step down for his competitor Anthony Oluoch but declined. What are your thoughts on this story? Share your insights down below.
