It Seems like Kenyan artist Kevin Bahati Kioko alias Bahati, hasn’t come to terms with the lose of the Mathare parliamentary seat. Ever since the mama hit maker lost to his competitor Anthony Oluoch, he has been missing in action on all his social media pages. Going through his verified Instagram account that has over 3.2 million followers, the award winning artist was last active on August 11th , when he aired his frustration following the Mathare parliamentary seat results. Bahati had alleged that he had won the elections, but Iebc officials had refused to announce him as the winner.
DEAR I.E.B.C We Need Answers!!! Everything is at Stand Still at The St. Teresa’s Tallying Centre and We can Sense Rigging Plans…. TELL US WHAT’S HAPPENING!!!,
Bahati said hours before his competitor Anthony Oluoch was announced as the winner of the 9.8.2022 elections in Mathare constituency.
Following different public opinion polls, the former gospel artist was said to be the most preferred candidate for the Mathare parliamentary seat, however after the elections, his fans at large were thrown in limbo when the artist emerged third in the Mathare parliamentary seat race with only 8,166 votes. The incumbent Wakili Anthony Oluoch retained the seat by getting 28,098 votes followed by UDA’s candidate Ojiwa who got 16,912 votes.
Bahati had vied for the Mathare parliamentary seat via Jubilee party which is under the Azimio Coalition, however, he met a huge opposition when the Azimio Coalition leadership decided to endorse the incumbent Anthony Tom Oluoch for the Mathare race. In one of the political campaigns held in Mathare, Bahati defied Raila Odinga’s move to endorse his competitor and decided to walk out of the campaign rally while the Azimio Coalition leader was still addressing his mammoth supporters.
Despite the lose, Bahati made his first public appearance on 21st August 2022 in Nakuru city, where he had been invited for a performance. During his performance bahati admitted that he was no longer a honorable politician but a musician.
His wife Diana marua on the other side has already admitted that her husband Bahati had already lost the seat and even went ahead to encourage him aftet his lose via her verified Instagram account.
Diana wrote saying:
“My Husband, My King, My Confidant…. To whom my Heart Belongs to 👑 I love you with my entire being. Thank you for Being my BestFriend, my pillar of support and my army in soo many ways. Thank you for Loving us Unconditionally, for providing for us and for being the best Dad to our kids. We love you and I will always be your submissive as the Bible commands me To. I love you @BahatiKenya ❤️.
Nevertheless, a section of his fans alleged that, his lose was as a result of disobeying his Party leader Raila Odinga when he urged him to leave the Mathare seat for the incumbent Anthony Tom Oluoch.
