Don’t Vote For Sifuna As Your Senator – Singer Bahati To Nairobians

by Jayden Musembi

Hours after Bahati was gazetted to vie for the Mathare Member of Parliament seat under the Jubilee ticket, the singer couldn’t hide his excitement. The singer-turned politician took online to bash ODM’s Sifuna for barring his way to contest for the Mathare seat.

To what might look like in-house rivalry, Bahati advised Nairobians to avoid voting in Sifuna as their Senator in the coming General election. He stated, “Vote for me and Raila Odinga but when it comes to the senator seat don’t vote for Sifuna. That man rants a lot.”

Bahati was in jubilation when IEBC gazetted his name in the list if candidates who’ll vie for elective positions in the coming General election. He thanked the people of Mathare for rioting to have his name in the ballot. The “Adhiambo” hit maker stated, “I want to inform you that I am gazetted and I’m vying. Thank you to the people of Mathare who rioted to have me on the ballot paper. No one can change that.”

The move came after Sifuna hit back on the singer who had raised claims that there was a plan set and a money offer of 50 million issued to persuade him to withdraw from contesting. Sifuna stated that if someone had offered Bahati Ksh. 50 million, then that person should have thought of the decision because the singer cannot handle that much.

Bahati promised the residents of Mathare that he will emerge victorious in the upcoming General election. He urged them to come out in large numbers and vote him as their member of Parliament. What are your thoughts on this story? Share your insights down below.
