A pastor from Brooklyn, well-known for putting on expensive jewellery was robbed alongside his wife gemstones worth $1m(ksh118m) while sharing a sermon to the congregants on Sunday. This is according to a report released by the Brooklyn police.
Police stated that three armed men stormed pastor Lamor Miller-Whitehead’s Church and removed his jewellery and that of his wife before exiting the scene. A video tape was also captured in the Church’s live stream.
A video released by CNN affiliate WCBS showed the pastor being robbed off his jewellery, with one of the thives holding a gun at him. The pastor agreed without a murmur to the thieves’ request before laying on the floor.
According to reports, the video is no longer available on the Church’s live stream video. However, the pastor told the authories what happened.
He stated, “That’s all right, all right, all right’ is pretty much stating that I don’t want, I’m not going to do anything, right, ’cause I know y’all coming for me, y’all coming straight to me. I don’t want my parishioners hurt. I got women and children there. As I got down, one went to my wife and took all her jewelry, and had the gun in front of my 8-month-old baby’s face.”
